Politicians

Sen. Schumer’s sixth amendment will subpoena Robert Blair, an advisor to acting WH Chief of Staff Mulvaney, who was on the line during President Trump’s July call with the Ukrainian President. He refused to testify in the House. He should testify in the Senate trial.

Let’s be clear: we wouldn’t be holding amendment votes at 10pm if Senator McConnell and the Senate Republicans weren’t rigging the rules of this impeachment trial.

Impeachment manager Rep. Hakeem Jeffries speaks as debate resumes over Senate's impeachment trial rules https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/trump-impeachment-trial-senate-proceedings-set-to-begin-as-rules-come-into-focus-2019-01-21/

Sen. Schumer’s fifth amendment will subpoena “all documents, communications, and other records within the possession, custody, or control of the Department of Defense” related to Ukraine. We should see all evidence of the orders that the Pentagon received to freeze Ukraine's aid.

Today marks 10 years since the Citizens United ruling gave corporations and the top 1% the ability to funnel unlimited amounts of money into our elections.

My colleagues and I introduced a constitutional amendment last year to overturn this horrendous decision.

I'm thrilled to be in beautiful Windsor today! There's nothing I love more than being here with the hard-working men and women on the frontlines at the @FordCanada engine plant.

Sen. Schumer’s fourth amendment will subpoena acting WH Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney. Several officials testified that Mulvaney organized & carried out the President’s request to withhold aid from Ukraine over the investigation of his political opponents. Mulvaney should testify.

After 3 amendments, every GOP senator has voted:
❌No on subpoenas for White House documents
❌No on subpoenas for State Dept documents
❌ No on subpoenas for OMB documents
This is a sham trial.

I just demanded a vote on calling as a witness Mick Mulvaney, President Trump’s Acting White House Chief of Staff

Will Senate Republicans vote with us for a fair trial?

Or will they keep enabling a cover-up like they’ve done all day by voting against our requests for documents?

Sen. Schumer’s third amendment will subpoena “all documents, communications, and other records within the possession, custody, or control of the Office of Management and Budget” related to Ukraine. An OMB official told the Pentagon to hold Ukraine's aid – we need that evidence.

I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views!

But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.

So here’s where we are: the Senate GOP won’t subpoena documents from the White House – and won’t subpoena documents from the State Department. If they truly believe in a fair impeachment trial, why are they hiding evidence?

The #HouseManagers are doing an amazing job in laying out the reasons to bring forth “live witnesses” in addition to the videotaped testimony under oath from others.

Will #McConnell allow us to get to the truth? What are they hiding?

Trump's lawyer claimed the House isn't ready to present our case.

We’re ready.

The House calls John Bolton to testify. The House calls Mick Mulvaney.

We’re ready to present our case, ready to call witnesses, ready to see the documents.

The question: Will the Senate let us?

Sen. Schumer’s second amendment will subpoena “all documents, communications, and other records within the possession, custody, or control of the Department of State” related to Ukraine. Once again, the @SenateGOP should stop aiding the President’s obstruction of justice.

Doctors understand they cannot do their jobs healing the sick under our dysfunctional health care system.

I thank physicians' group @ACPinternists and its 159,000 members, as well as @PNHP, for fighting to make health care a human right for every man, woman and child.
